Latest Swing and Game Update

Here's a swing I took with an 8-iron back on Monday.

Here's a still pic, closest I could get to the impact position:

Lately I have been playing some different courses, some that I've never played before and some I've only played once before. The good news is that my stroke average has been around 74, but it's difficult to shoot under par on a score I have little or no knowledge about. I'm trying to keep my putts/GIR under 1.8 and get my scramble % around 60% and it seems that 14 GIR is the breaking point between possibly shooting under par and even in the 60's to shooting over par.

Looks darn good. What does Ted say to work on from here?

I haven't seen him in almost 3 months. I think I'm going to see him in September to see what he thinks and perhaps get a 'things to work on' for the fall and winter months.

Cool. What are you working on in the full swing right now Rich?

Your swing looks very good to my eye.
I have to say that I owe you big time for a comment that you made sometime ago. I am a swinger and a change in my personal situation has limited by practice and playing time.
When I played in match play in league play I decided to go back to basics and did a practice drill before each shot. My instructor from many years ago had me practice swinging with my heels together which slows my swing down and keeps me centered.
I then added your suggestion about my right hand being in a handshake position 1/2 way into the follow through. Together, that has me hitting the ball more consistantly with simplified swing thoughts.
Thank you

Thanks for the kind words. Right now I am working on a bunch of things. Mainly trying to slow my startdown and get my address alignments down. I have 20/20 vision in both eyes, but they tend to go haywire when it comes to aligning myself. I think I have it down pretty well now. I'm also trying to get used to speed of the greens I usually play. I had a couple of rounds on courses I never played before that have immaculate and fast greens, so now I have to get used to the speed of the greens I usually play. Lastly, working on mental management. Trying to hit more and more greens and when I fire at flags and I miss, leave myself with some room to get up and down.
