Putting Launch Drill

Was the point of this drill to show how much error the width of the "gate" allows? He didn't make a putt!!

Hm hm.. that's very interessting but to be honest i have a hard time understanding it... wonder how others think about this..

The point of the drill is so you get your launch on line. It's not really important that he makes them because it's a drill. For presentation purposes, he didn't line up the putt or factor in the break....he just wants to get the ball to launch correctly on line.

On line to *what*? Don't you have to have a target?

On line to the space between the 2 balls. You're also trying to develop an imaginary line with this drill to get the launch down.

You can certainly set it up to get it so the balls wind up in the cup. But for quick, presentation purposes he was just showing the main point of this drill
