But what if you hit you driver as well if not better than you do your 3 wood?
With todays technology, I would say that I probably hit mine as straight if not straighter. In fact, I can chip my driver 225 to 240 with a little bunt cut.Ronnie Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15948119807863207449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7051574495817462192.post-48732555524919694452011-06-13T17:32:18.458-07:002011-06-13T17:32:18.458-07:00keep up the good work, Geoff. We practice so we can hit great shots.

3JACKRich H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00619151630318195719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7051574495817462192.post-42930868559402524932011-06-13T16:39:31.000-07:002011-06-13T16:39:31.000-07:00It has been a gradual process to start playing agr...It has been a gradual process to start playing agressive golf on my part. Now 3 strokes away from my target hcp of 10 I now have the confidence in my stroke play to pick a target and go for it 100% certain of success. The door has been opened on the mental wall.

This month I have been getting 82's from that and also the increased practise as I prepare for the regions various club opens. Accuraccy is my prefered strength I work on developing in favour of distance. but the same winning etyhos applies.geoffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01157896595475933726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7051574495817462192.post-73689969865569956942011-06-13T16:24:20.066-07:002011-06-13T16:24:20.066-07:00This was great Rich. I played the course I grew up on this weekend and can see alot of parallels.

Although I had 4 doubles (the kuchar quote still applies to me) it was actually a good round for how I've been playing recently (2 birdies does that). I noticed that all of my errors came from the short game. (which is what I haven't worked on at all over the last year or so). I was great from the danger zone, hitting both of the long par threes with 4 and 5 irons to 20 feet and also hitting a 540ish par 5 in two with my 5 wood.

Although the doubles sucked, they all came from not committing to the shot or trying to really overdo a short club (i.e. trying to kill a short iron rather than going with the longer club).

Just reading your blog really helps with the mental process of how to play different scenarios. I also noticed that on holes that are normally very tough for me I played them much smarter than I would have previously. That was also a plus.Nickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15444483133395160171noreply@blogger.com
